Meet Bryant. Bryant is the honored patient for the Richmond Walk. We are supporting Light the Night for Bryant, and in honor or memory of loved ones with a blood cancer diagnosis.
“Monday, April 21, 2014, started as a normal day and quickly changed into a day that Bryant’s family will never forget. Bryant had some bruises that his mom and dad thought were kind of funny-looking and they decided Bryant needed to go to the pediatrician. The pediatrician looked at Bryant’s blood work and recommended they quickly go to VCU Medical Center.
After more tests were run Bryant’s family received the news that Bryant has Pre-B Acute Lymphomablastic Leukemia. Bryant is a typical 3-year old boy who loves to say “NO!” He is very independent and prefers to make all the decisions. Like most boys, he likes superheroes, trucks, and Micky Mouse, but he isn’t afraid to run around with a princess or a Barbie. He does what makes him happy and could care less what anyone thinks!”
